Jason Schweigert, M.Sc. P.Geoph
Acquisition Geophysicist & President
Jason obtained his B.Sc. in Geophysics from the University of Calgary in 1999. In March of the following year, he began working full time as a 3D Acquisition Geophysicist with John Voskuyl. In 2005, Jason became a partner of BJV, and took over the role of Managing Partner in 2006 after John retired. Jason completed his M.Sc. in Geophysics in 2009.
Kari Schweigert, B.Sc.
Acquisition Geophysicist & Chief Operating Officer
Kari obtained her B.Sc. in Geophysics from the University of Calgary in 1999. Upon graduation, Kari began working full time as a 3D Acquisition Geophysicist with John Voskuyl. In 2005, she became a partner of BJV. Kari is responsible for graphic design for technical and marketing presentations, human resources, business development, and strategic planning.
Matthew Allen, M.Sc. P.Geo
Matthew obtained a B.Sc. in Physics from the University of Lethbridge in 2006, and in 2009 he graduated from the University of Calgary with a M.Sc. in Geophysics. Matthew joined BJV as an Acquisition Geophysicist in February 2011. He is an integral part of our geophysical team and is always committed to meeting all our clients needs.
Laura began working for BJV in November 2005 as Administrative Manager. Laura is responsible for office management, payroll, and book keeping.
John began his career in geophysics in 1966. He worked as a Field Seismologist and later as a Field Supervisor for a combined total of 7 years experience in field acquisition. John also worked as a Geophysical Data Processor for 14 years, including almost two years of international work. In 1987, John founded B.J. Voskuyl Exploration and began his career in 3D project design. John retired in July of 2006, after 40 years in the oil and gas industry. His wealth of knowledge and experience is still drawn upon from time to time.
